Who We Are

Nurturing Students Across 30 School-Based Centres in Singapore

Big Heart Student Care runs 30 school-based centres across Singapore for students of all races. Established in 2015 with MOE, we are managed by SHGSCL, a joint venture of Singapore’s four Self Help Groups: CDAC, Eurasian Association, SINDA, and Yayasan MENDAKI.

Together, we leverage the community resources of the four SHGs to nurture the holistic development of students, especially those from less-privileged backgrounds, in a warm and supportive after-school environment.

My child has been given so many opportunities to join the enrichment programmes offered by Big Heart. They have programmes for art, drama and the ACE Programme for example. My child is also more independent now since joining the SCC, and it makes me proud.

The staff are attentive and answer all our queries patiently. They inform me if my child is unwell and regularly update me after handling the situation. For urgent matters, they will immediately call parents to update us as it is a lot faster and clearer to explain, and I appreciate that.
